Halifax Sharedealing

ShareCalc imports saved HTML pages from three Halifax Sharedealing reports:

  • Dealing History: buys and sells;
  • Dividend History: dividends; and
  • Cash History: funds transfers, withdrawals, and administration fees only.

Use Auto-detect, or explicitly select Halifax Share Dealing.

Save a Report

  1. In Halifax Sharedealing, open the required report under Valuation & Statements.
  2. Enter the period you want and display the transactions.
  3. Select Printer Friendly View.
  4. Save the complete web page as an HTML file.
  5. Import the saved .html file into ShareCalc.

You can add the three report files to one import. ShareCalc reads the account code from each page and routes their transactions together.

Limitations

Halifax reports provide net consideration or proceeds in GBP. They do not provide ShareCalc with the original trade currency or a separate breakdown of fees and transaction tax. Imported trades therefore reproduce the GBP cash shown by Halifax rather than reconstructing details the report does not contain.

Dividend History uses the issue date as the transaction date. This may differ from the payment date relevant to your records, so review imported dividends carefully. The parser preserves the report's ex-dividend date.

Cash History also contains purchases, sales, dividends, balances, and other entries. Those are not imported from that page because they belong in the dedicated reports or do not represent transactions. Only recognised deposits, withdrawals, and administration fees are retained.

Treat Halifax import as a data-entry convenience. Reconcile the result against the statements and correct any dates, asset matches, or missing economic detail that matters to your circumstances.
